One a year or so, a Green will email me with something pretty impressive, insightful or a question nobody has ever asked before. It’s quality – not quantity from Greens. So I was pretty stunned when Kelly B emailed me a few months ago. I had played the custom written and professionally recorded Blue song at a seminar (there’s also a Gold song and both are on my website under “media”). They’re done on the karaoke track of Seasons in the Sun by Terry Jacks.
She thought there should be a Green song and emailed the the full custom lyrics that she had written!
So YOU get to read them or sing them (here’s to hoping you’re not in cubicle world…) and give your feedback, thumbs up, down, or any changes:
Greens love to learn and research too, love solving puzzles, that’s what we do best.
There has to be a better way. Be more efficient; quality – is what we bring into the team.
We need some time to think things through, when we’ve decided we’ll get back to you.
Which option’s best? Well, it depends – I need more details so I’ll know how to advise which way to go.
Get it right, know your stuff, if you don’t we’ll call your bluff.
Give us space, give us time, and we will get along just fine.
We need to have our time alone, logic and reason is our comfort zone.
Don’t like to show our feelings much. We’d say “I love you” but we Greens
don’t understand just what that means.
We show we care by what we do; our acts of service prove our love for you.
Don’t want to hug, don’t like to touch. We feel things just as much as you
But we can’t show it like a Blue.
The unknown makes us tense, we just want things to make sense,
We can see what ought to be, but we shut down easily.
The unknown makes us tense, we just want things to make sense,
We can see what ought to be, but we shut down easily.
We tell dad jokes, riddles and puns, our sense of humor is cerebral, and
We know sarcasm is humor too.
Groans and eye-rolls tell us that you – appreciate our humor too.
We’re always thinking, figuring – how to improve the things we see.
Can’t stand inefficiency – we can improve from status quo
process, procedures and workflow.
Get it right, know your stuff, if you don’t we’ll call your bluff.
Give us space, give us time, and we’ll get along just fine.
